Welcome to Renton Jr. High School

Soon your son or daughter will be filling you in on some of the details of life at Renton Junior High School-whether the other students are friendly, what the teachers are like here, the quality of the lunches served, and whether it is easier or harder than their previous years.

We are pleased to have you as partners in this educational year. As the year progresses, and as you become either more informed or more puzzled, we encourage you to call the school and talk with those who might be of help. If your question deals with in-class events, please ask to speak with the teacher. If it deals with the overall program, curriculum, or activities, please contact the office staff.

During this three year span you will see the greatest growth developmentally in your child since their first six months of life. With this in mind remember that the schools can't do it all. However, your interest, involvement, support, and parental guidance have never been more important than they will be during the middle school years.

You can begin your involvement by providing your student a good place to study and do homework at home. Show interest in their after school activities, and stay informed with notes sent home on Thursdays. Working together, we can make certain that your student has a good experience at the junior high school
