Huron Pride
Huron High School boasts great programs, a cutting edge curriculum, caring staff members, and stellar extracurricular activities. However, our biggest assets are our educational community, and specifically, our students. The students at Huron High School exhibit the pride, perseverance, attitude, and integrity necessary to be great, and that is what makes Huron High School special. We are proud of the commitment we have made to our students and to providing superior academic programs at HHS. We have worked hard to raise our academic expectations for our staff and our student body. The strength of our curriculum lies in our dedication to quality instruction and balanced pacing. In addition, we have focused on quality assessments and best practices in an attempt to continuously improve. As a result, we have seen a strong student achievement trend in all areas of the Michigan Merit Exam, especially in the ACT portion. In addition, students at Huron High School are leaving the classroom prepared for the future.
In addition to our academic programs, HHS has focused on building and nurturing positive relationships. We have been steadfast in our commitment to reach students inside and outside of the classroom. We have also worked to connect with students as individuals, and we remain unswerving in our efforts to make students the cornerstone of our unique culture. Consequently, being a Huron Chief is much more than academic success; it is also about being a part of our culture – a part of something great.
Our pride in our academic standards and our relationship building is obvious; however, we are able to boast strong athletic and extracurricular activities. On our club page, you will find numerous organizations and extracurricular opportunities. In addition, we have a wide range of athletic opportunities available for students. Our athletic programs have recorded a great amount of success in recent years, including numerous league, district, and regional championships. As we say at Huron, “It’s a great time to be a Chief.”
We welcome you to come and see what Huron High School has to offer.
