LAST DAYS OF THE SCHOOL YEAR – It’s hard to believe that our last days of school are upon us.  The schedule is as follows:     
June 9th & 10th – full days of school
                June 11th & 12th (last day) - ½ days of school (11:55 dismissal)

SPECIAL THANK YOU – As the 2007 - 2008 school year comes to an end, there are several people we would like to extend a special thank you to.  With the help of these special people, our jobs are a lot easier!

• Miller PTO – Thank you for all the support for our Miller students that you give each and every year.  Also thank you to all the chair people and volunteers that helped with:  Treat Day, Pennies for Our Kids, Box Tops for Education, Ink Cartridge recycling, Tyson fundraising and field trip support.
• Classroom Volunteers – Thanks for all the assistance you have given to the teachers throughout the school year.  Your help is greatly appreciated.
• Other Volunteers – Thank you to all the other volunteers that helped out this year.

BREAKFAST AND LUNCH CHARGES – Please remember to pay your child’s breakfast and/or lunch charges before the last day of school, Thursday, June 12th.  The student’s report card will be held in the school office until all fines have been paid.

LIBRARY BOOKS AND FINES – If your child has an overdue library book please see that it is returned to school as soon as possible.  Please remember to pay your child’s lost book and library fines before the last day of school.  The student’s report card will be held in the school office until all fines have been paid.

1ST ANNUAL HURON SUMMER GOLF CAMP – Attention all incoming 1st through 9th graders, the Huron High School Golf Program will be conducting a 4 day golf camp this summer.  The camp dates are June 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th.  Sessions will begin at 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  The camp will be limited to the first 40 registrants.  The cost is $75.00.  Forms are available at the Huron Athletics Office at the high school and must be turned in by Friday, June 13th.

HURON SOCCER FALL 2008 REGISTRATION – Registration for soccer will be on Saturday, June 14th from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon and Monday, June 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., both registrations will be at Lajko Park.  For more information, visit our web page at www.huron.com\youth sports

HURON TWP. SUMMER YOUTH RECREATION PROGRAM – The 13th Annual Summer Recreation Program will be held at Renton Jr. High from Monday, July 7th through Friday, July 25th.  This is for children ages 6-14 years old.  For more information, please call Terri at 753-9376 ext. 123.

MEAP TESTING – The 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will be MEAP testing from October 14th through October 30th.  It is very important that students are in school during this testing period.

PAPER RECYCLING – Don’t forget to continue to recycle over the summer vacation.  Remember, we are recycling for our children’s future!
