Welcome to Brown Elementary School, a special place to learn.
We hope that our students will enjoy the many academic and social
programs planned for this year. In addition, families will find
numerous opportunities to become involved at Brown.
Brown Elementary School is proud
to be NCA accredited. We offer a complete academic program that
also includes both a computer curriculum and library skills. Music,
physical education, elementary counseling, peer mediation, academic
and cultural assemblies are all available to our students. Several
times a year Brown students participate in Math Camp, Science
Camp and special reading activities. We will also host several
evening family nights. This year Brown is instituting Accelerated
Reader for all students as well as a Positive Discipline model.
Community service is important
at Brown, and we usually offer at least one opportunity a month
to help others. We began the school year by contributing money
to the Red Cross to aid hurricane victims, and we will have a
canned food drive later this fall. Our weekly newsletter will
let families know how to participate in our caring projects.
At Brown Elementary School, we
believe that family involvement is important. We welcome volunteers
and encourage involvement through PTO, classroom helpers and special
events posted on the PTO Parent Board located outside the main
office. There is always a place for anyone who enjoys helping
children learn and grow. When we all work together, there is no
limit to what Brown students can achieve!
